Consultancy: Computer consultants specialize in any or all of the following areas of work- project management, hardware and software selection, information /database management, optimization of computer operations, data communications, trouble shooting and security, computer operations and telecommunications.

Computer Operations:involves data entry, desktop publishing, etc.

Marketing: Market Research, Market Analysis requires computer professionals with a marketing background.

Online Business: Electronic commerce has evolved with the convergence of computers and telecommunication technologies. E-commerce has generated an Internet economy, activating worldwide marketing and banking activities.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): ERP software is used for planning the resources of the entire worldwide network of an enterprise. Sales, service, distribution, marketing, purchase, manufacturing, inventory, finance, accounts, etc., are integrated on one software backbone through ERP.
